Scholarships

Kaufman County Junior Livestock Show is awarding three (3) scholarships to outstanding youth in Kaufman County. The scholarships are for $1,250 each and will be presented at the 2026 Junior Livestock Show Sale.

ELIGIBILITY OF APPLICANT
To be eligible, a student must:

  • Be a resident of Kaufman County.
  • Be a 2026 graduate of a high school in Kaufman County.
  • Is an active member of 4-H/FFA
  • Meet entrance requirements of a college, university, or technical school.
  • Enroll full-time in a college, university, or technical school in the Fall of 2026
  • Plan to major in an Agriculture related field.
  • Submit SAT and/or ACT test scores, if available. (May be provided on transcript.)
  • Attach an official copy of high school transcript.
  • Submit the completed application and attachments by December 15th, 2025.

The completed application and attachments must be postmarked by December 15, 2025, and mailed to the following address:

SCHOLARSHIP TIMELINE

  • December 15, 2025 - Postmark deadline for application
    (Needs to include application WITH signatures and attached School Transcript)
  • January 15, 2026- Notification of top scholarship finalists for interview.
  • February 3, 2026 - Finalist interview with the Kaufman County Junior Livestock Board.
  • February 3, 2026 - Scholarship finalists must email a digital copy of a photo of him/herself to KCJLShow@gmail.com to be displayed on the Kaufman County Junior Livestock Show website. Photos should be of good quality to be printed for display. Please no larger than 2MB.
  • August 8, 2026 - Scholarship recipients must send a copy of their college, university, or technical school schedule to the above address so that funds can be sent to the appropriate college scholarship office.
  • October 31, 2026 - Scholarships will be void if not claimed by this date.
